Natural, typical, medium sweet this Vinsanto (literally “holy wine”: the name refers to the ancient custom of racking the wine during the Holy Week for Easter), is still produced with centenarian methods handed down from the rural Umbrian - Tuscan art.

This amber – coloured Vinsanto arises from patience and passion for good and natural things. The Vinsanto “La Soffitta”, thanks to a withering of the grapes on reeds matting and to a triennial ageing in little casks handed down from father to son, sends forthall its medium sweet, full and fruity flavour.

"LA SOFFITTA"

This wine is an unmistakable result of a patient, rural, unchanged during the years processing and also:

  • of an accurate harvesting of particular grapes like Trebbiano, Malvasia, white Canaiolo, Grechetto and also Vernaccia;
  • of a patient work of withering on reeds matting for at least three months;
  • of a long ageing in oak casks.

What still remains after long time and many cares is a real nectar for important occasions.
Offering it gains particular meanings of friendship, generosity and hospitality.

Much more than a simple dessert wine, it has to be considered a meditation wine, that can be tasted in special occasions and in different ways: very valued by itself, it goes with “Torcolo” and “Cantucci” or also with other pastries very well, but it combines also well with ripe Tuscan Pecorino (ewe’s milk cheese).
